Turntable Time Vol. 7: The Strangest Lalo Schifrin Record !

In 1979 Schifrin became one-time producer and was in an unknown way involved in this rather dull disco LP, which later even appeared on Avantz as CD.

On the CD the performers are credited as "The Lalo Schifrin Orchestra", but Schifrin himself stated that he was not involved in any composing, arranging, conducting or performing of this record. However, it says in bold letters "Production Lalo Schifrin" on the original LP, so make out of this what you like.

But the music doesn't sound like Schifrin at all (it's even worse than "Fire and Ice"), you may like it, if you are Disco Stu, but for Schifrin fans it's just to complete the collection.

I ripped the main and end titles of "Airport '77" (John Cacavas) and "Airport '79--The Concorde" (Lalo Schifrin) from DVD (so warning: dialog and SFX) and put them here.

Anonymous: "The Eagle Has Landed" may be found here, along with a truckload of other Lalo Schifrin works.
